Is Deontay Wilder avoiding BIG heavyweights?

By big I mean heavy and tall. Deontay Wilder himself is 6'7" with an 83" reach and averages around 226 lb. That is very light for a man of that size. Let's look at the measurements of his opponents since stepping up in class:

    His tallest opponents
    Johann Duhaupas: 6'5", 82½" reach, 236 lb.
    Eric Molina: 6'4", 79" reach, 239¼ lb.

    His heaviest opponent
    Chris Arreola, 6'3", 76" reach, 246¼ lb.

Johann Duhaupas also has the longest reach out of Deontay's opponents since he stepped up in class.

It's interesting because Deontay always has two out of three advantages over his opponents, usually height and reach.

    His next opponent
    Gerald Washington: 6'6", 82" reach, average 246lb.

Other top fighters in the division
Tyson Fury: 6'9", 85" reach, average 260 lb.
Anthony Joshua: 6'6", 82" reach, average 246 lb.
Wladimir Klitschko: 6'6", 81" reach, average 244 lb.
Luis Ortiz: 6'4", 84" reach, average 240 lb.
Joseph Parker: 6'4", 76" reach, average 239 lb.
Hughie Fury: 6'6", 83" reach, average 229 lb.
Jarrell Miller: 6'4", 78" reach, average 278 lb.

It's good for Deontay to be facing a challenger of a similar height and reach, with a big weight advantage. A good trial run for when he actually steps up against the other top fighters.
