  • If Chavez Jr miraculously beats Canelo would you like to see GGG vs JCC Jr?

Or GGG fight Saunders? Or one of his mandos?

It would be kind of a situation like Victor Ortiz vs Josesito Lopez, where if Ortiz won he was set to fight Canelo at 154 but Lopez ruined the plans by upsetting Ortiz and got the well-deserved payday himself. This would kinda be the same, Chavez Jr vs GGG would make sense where Chavez Jr would be the a-side so he will probably tell GGG to come up a little higher than 164 1/2.

Canelo is slated to fight GGG, but if JCC ruins those plans, people will call for GGG vs JCC Jr.

Do you think this would be the best fight to make for GGG or do you want to see him vs Saunders?

It wouldn't be surprising let alone miraculous.

There must be another Canelo out there because the one I see ain't sh8t.

All options look horrible, but if JCC Jr upsets Canelo, he will look like the lesser of the 5 evils. His stock will rise, he will have a growth in fans who believe in him, and he will be GGG's best money/PPV fight.

This is unless Canelo immediately rematches Chavez Jr to regain interest in a fight between him and GGG. Which will be tough to do.

Sure it would make sense. I assume there would be a rematch though unless it was a terrible beating which I just have a hard time seeing.

wouldnt be a surprise to me at all, if chavez manages the weight well then you are looking at a B fighter who is considerably bigger against a B+ fighter. I'd put money on chavez but i dont trust the judges. Think people are so mesmorised by the de la hoya propaganda of canelo as 'the face of boxing' that they forget hes not really that brilliant a fighter. He beat washed up old cotto, so what, austin trout did more of a number on his old arse than canelo did. Not really buying it that hes this hugely improved fighter since he lost to mayweather, and if anyones under any illusion that canelos an elite fighter i suggest they watch that fight cause he looked like a complete novice in there against him.

But you realize with you saying these things about Canelo, you can't expect people to believe you when you then say Canelo is a good win on GGG's resume if all goes according to plan (Canelo beats JCC, fights GGG, loses to GGG). So choose your opinions of Canelo wisely, say if he's good now, or he's bad like you say. You can't have it both ways. You can't say he's a good win when GGG beats him, after saying these things about him now in the post above. So you just said Canelo is not an elite fighter and so and so beat him, so don't big him up if he signs to fight GGG, making GGG look like he just beat a top 3 ATG.

No way in hell that happens, there's a better chance of Jacobs beating GGG. GGG would probably go after Saunders.

For the sake of boxing hopefully both Alvarez and Golovkin win their fights, the deadline for this fight is September '17.

If the JCC of the Vera and Fonfora fights comes into the ring, it's impossible for him to beat Canelo if he couldn't even clearly beat a bloated JMW in Vera.

If JCC is serious and comes in as the guy who beat Rubio and Lee, and had the late fight stamina to hurt Martinez after losing every round, then we could have a fight in our hands.

canelos a good world level fighter. If golovkin does a real number on him though then that to me is a very good win. I wont be saying its some amazing achievement beating him but its a solid win.

i think its going to be the best version of chavez. Surely if any fight is going to get him training properly and up for it, its going to be this one.
