I say take it get the win and then start calling the shots. Use that lowball offer as extra incentive to dish out a beating if they are so sure.
I disagree. It's the biggest fight in boxing for a reason, it's the best match up that can be made and won't be a cake walk either way. Why should Golovkin, even if he walks right thru Canelo, set Alvarez up with a retirement package and take a short payout? So he can spend another 5 years chasing down the next guy in a weight class up and hope the money's there? He, like any other boxer, is not doing this for his health.

only one ducker here and it's not Canelo.
GGG told Canelo to give him his WBC belt and like the ***** he is, he gave it without a moments hesitation!

Kell Brook was 11 pounds heavier at the 30 day weigh in compared to GGG. GGG weighed 165, Kell brook 176. And we all saw what kell brook looked like 30 days out, lean and shredded.

Low balling would be $5 million guaranteed or some chit like that. $15 million plus ppv upside is a hell of a deal for a fight that won't break 1 million ppvs. Itll do 700k-800k ppvs sells tops. Ggg nuthuggers are delusional. Why didn't ggg cut his former opponents the type of deals he expects from Canelo? Sign the contract or shut up. The ball is in his court
LMAO. Lowballing somebody is paying somebody less than their market value.

GGG/Canelo is the biggest fight that can be made in boxing, period.

Paying GGG less than what is his value for being part of the biggest fight that can be made boxing is lowballing.

It'd be like a team in baseball telling a top prospect who's making a little bit in the minor leagues that he shouldn't try to get the $100 million that he's worth on the free market, but just accept the $10 million that they're offering because "it's more than he's been making".

            Exactly.

Yes, RETIRED legends, who generally hate on the younger generation in general.

We're talking about peers. Canelo's being called by people who have taken risks to fight him like Khan and Liam Smith.

' BUT HE SHOUDL TAKE 15 MILL DOE ' canelo vacates belt, yet golovkin is the one ducking

' HE SHUD MOVE UP DOE ' 168 is even weaker than 160

' HE SHOULD .....FIGHT LARA DOE'! lara doesnt even want to fight anyone in his own division let alone the one above.

All the same guy's defending Wilder who is far worse than golovkin in terms of opposition.

No, and even if he does he is still a welter who will be fighting at 147 in his next fight..

No that's a provocative incorrect statement to make. People know better. The Floyd & Manny fight had the same principles, Floyd trying to offer a 'flat fee' while knowing the potential revenue from a PPV event would far exceed such an offer. GGG and his team are smarter than that and will not accept that, nor should they. Canelo is not ducking, his team i.e. DLH is. When a fair split of PV sales can be reached the fight will go ahead, until then Canelo is ducking.
