They must have discussed joining Al Haymon then. Good news.

Nice. I like it. Strange bedfellows, but AIBA needs an in in the pro boxing world.

Personally I'm rooting on AIBA, Hearn, Haymon & Ryabinsky all joining forces & together taking over boxing to make it more like mainstream sports with a league like format. Thats too much of a fantasy to hope for, but I think if those 4 forces joined together they could do just about anything they wanted to do in boxing & got most of the globe covered to brand their own territories.

I don't think there are two worse organizations in all of boxing than the WBA and AIBA.

One created super champions and regular champions while the other has a huge problem with incompetent or outright corrupt judges.

The sport could use some fixing but I don't want these two anywhere near that project.

LOL I can understand where you are coming from, but at this point in the story of boxing & considering its already a clusterf#ck I'm for anything that will bring some casualties to some of the power players sitting on their power. I want some risk taking & some abc groups taking L's & getting W's if they are gonna be around.

In a lot of ways I think the sport has lost a lot of its potential history in the last 3-4 decades of the alphabet maze of titles & thats kinda sad & disappointing to me as a boxing fan. Anything that can potentially get things on the right path where top guys are fighting each other every time out or nearly every time out I'm for.
