What If Jacobs Uses Ward's Tactics? Could play spoiler

Now that Jacobs is using Virgil Hunter as his coach then this could very well be plan B. In case boxing doesn't go well then do Ward's impression 6-12 rounds in the Kovalev fight.

That is run in with the head straight into greco roman clinch. when in the clinch, holding and hitting. home court compubox will count those as powerpunches.

This is very difficult to prepare for because every maneuver is illegal under the rules of boxing.

Really Virgil Hunter and Ward are training a different sport than most boxers. They are training a hybrid of Greco Roman wrestling and Boxing.

I wonder how Gennady will fare

Golovkin is not that easy to clinch. And the size disparity between them isn't that big. GGG is 5'11 - 6' while Jacobs is 6'1 but only 5 pounds bigger than Golovkin, so he won't be manhandling him, unlike Ward back in 168. Jacobs might take a right hand to the head if he tries to go on the inside incorrectly, and MUST do it perfectly to get on the inside range of Golovkin.

Impossible. Golovkin is way too strong at 160 for those tactics to work. Other guys have tried to tie Golovkin up before and it just doesn't work.
Defensive fighters also can not beat Golovkin. Jacobs needs to be who he is.. an offensive boxer with a lot of power.

Golovkin has never fought anyone hellbent on using clinching as a legit tactic like Virgil Hunter trains Ward to do.

jacobs has never fought that way in his career he's always been a free swinging guy who punches wide and at times reckless.he also isn't that much bigger than ggg has a thin frame compared to golovkin who's thicker and more muscular.

Sounds like a very bad idea for Danny to change his style just before the biggest fight of his career. You don't become Bernard Hopkins after one training camp with ****** Hunter. Just ask Angulo, Khan, and Berto. Danny's going to be reaching for a clinch and eat a shot that puts him to sleep.

hes never been a cheat? well that ruins his chances at beign a great fighter. how does he expect to win when the other fighter is better? ok the judges like ward but even they can let you down and get it right sometimes
