Brook is no defensive wiz but he does slip and ride with punches very well. Plus we know he can take a punch. Spence has not been tested and Brook will be able to land. I got Kell by early to mid round stoppage.

I don't know about that. When you get old you get old, losing your reflexes affects all styles negatively.

As far as I can tell the whole "wait for the opponent to get old" strategy traces back to Sugar Ray Leonard. He was accused of doing that with Hagler. The accusation actually makes sense in that case because Hagler was older than Leonard by a couple of years.

Or when we hear that Canelo is waiting Golovkin out...that seems plausible as well.

But to me it's just bizarre to think that an older boxer would wait out a younger one.

Leonard admitted he only decided to fight Hagler once he saw the Mugabi fight and realised Hagler had lost a step.

I think it's pretty obvious that fighters who go to war tend to have a much shorter career than those whose style allows them to get hit less. The less damage you take, the better wear you get out of your body and brain.

Bread makes a great point about Spence and pace. I see Spence vs Brook going exactly like Brook vs Golovkin without the broken orbital.

I see it that way also.. As long as Spence isn't lacking on his defense, I see him pushing the pace and dealing several body shots that will slow Brook in the later rounds..
