I've been hearing a lot of this lately. I just don't see it. Chavez is great and has been this whole time but we just haven't seen it?

Chavez will have a serious weight advantage and will be dangerous through 3 but fades to a loss by UD. That weight cut is too much

With Memo Herida and Nacho Beristine in the corner Jr has a good chance. Weight and reach advantage.

If Canelo thought Chavez Jr was a real threat, he wouldn't be fighting him. Since the cotto fight, Canelo avoids real threats, he doesn't seek them out. Yes Chavez Jr can potentially be a dangerous opponent but people who believe that he can win are banking on him doing something that he hasn't been able to do in 5 yrs, which is to take a fight seriously and give his all into training. In boxing though, it's not easy to just turn that switch on after its been off for so long.

I'm sure Chavez doesn't wanna pay those millions for failing weight though. Also this is the biggest fight in his career so I can see him putting more effort into it with Nacho and Memo.

I would hope that's the case but there was a time when Sergio Martinez was the biggest fight of his career and he put up a terrible performance and reportedly didn't take training seriously. Maybe he's matured or maybe that's just who he is. Guess we'll see.
