I think Bellew is much better at cruiserweight than he was at light-heavyweight. If you ever see him in real life, it's incredible to think he used to be 175. I still think he will come up short against the top Cruiserweights though.
Bellew, he won an actual title not the "Regular" WBA title, Bellew went up to cruiserweight, fought the most avoided guy there, and won in a massive upset
haha bellew really has that Brit ****** slang down!!!
Bog standard Scouse talk ... dude's comedy gold when he gets on a roll though.
At LHW the pair were very evenly matched - Clev probably a bit faster and better conditioned, Bellew with a bit more power and grit (to my mind). But I think Cruiserweight really suits Bellew - I just think he's gonna struggle at the top end, especially with the likes of Usyk, Gassiev, Glowacki (actually that could be a hell of a fight) and Breidis. Good luck to him though I used to think Tony was just a grade A Bell-end, but he's really grown on me the past coupla years. Knows his stuff and is surprisingly knowledgeable and passionate about the sport when he's not mouthing off - gives a good interview when he's in the mood and great smack talk when his blood's up.
It's a good point. Two very evenly matched fighters, albeit with differing styles.
For me, their careers have crossed over in that I think Cleverly's best years are behind him after being world class at a young age, whereas Bellew is in the form of his life after initially being a slow-burner. Plus Bellew looks better at CW than he did at LHW.
I liked watching Cleverly earlier in his career, despite his limitations. All action fighter with an amazing workrate. Bellew on the other hand, I don't know what it is but I find him boring to watch despite there often being some kind of drama when he's fighting. Plus he's extremely annoying to listen to - P4P no. 1 in his own mind

The title was vacant, nobody was avoiding Makabu, he just never brought anything to the table for anyone.
Drozd was 40-1 when he vacated due to injury, i hardly think Makabu was being avoided
You don't half come out with some barn-storming ****e sometimes you..
