Currently at 160 you have GGG in top 10 and then? Maybe Jacobs makes top 50. I doubt BJS and Eubank or Lemieux make top 100 p4p.

And now you are expanding your criteria for an exciting division to personalities and nationalities. Think again.

Briggs has personality and Haye. maybe they should fight and suddenly HW would be the most competitive division according to your strange criteria.
would just like someone to give a reason why its the best in boxing? Not really been any great fights from it in recent years that i can remember. No star names. No personalities. No real world class proven fighters who would be in the top 20 p4p. No match ups that people are desperate to see compared to in other divisions. pretty damn boring division.

It's not the best division in boxing. 147 is, but its definitely in the top 4 or 5.

In no specific order, these divisions have some good talent and have fans excited right now:

      147 (obvious)
175 (Top Heavy w/ new entrants like Jack and Smith and contenders; AB, SB)
154 (So much young talent that will all cross paths;there's a legit 5-6 guys who are champion quality fighters and Al has them all on path to unification; don't forget Lubin is here too. Last man standing here will be a huge star in the US)
135 (Really top heavy but a PPV star could emerge from this bunch)
HW (Legit 4-5 names are ringing bells in the division and have fans ready for PPV caliber fights)
And maybe 126 (with potential 130 fights being made) (Some cross matching is needed here though)

One things for sure: 160 is complete **** and its been that way for a while (although GGG and Danny are elite talents in the sport); Stevens, Lemeuix? really? lol This division needs Charlo bad.

I honestly don't know where to put Canelo at this point lol If he decides to fight at 160 next then that'll help too. (but I think he's capable of doing anything at this point)

Rubio could not win a title at 154
Cotto cannot win a belt at 154

Let me know when two top guys at 154 fight each other. Atleast unify.

Being from the UK I would love to see him v Eubank. That would be a good fight.

How on earth is 147 obviously the strongest division ?

I'd say its one of the weakest.
Thurman/Garcia are unproven at the weight, Bradley disappeared. Pacquiao is cashing out. Brook/Spence winner is fairly good.

              What else ? Nothing

Welterweight is not a strong division.

Kudos to Charlo for sticking with his plan to move up, despite the fact that Andrade is there. Similarly with Badou Jack, although I would love to see a DeGale rematch. You shouldn't tailor your career trying to get a particular fight. Stick to your plan, stay active, and win. The fans will follow. Kell Brook should take some notes. He could have already been great at 154 or at least unified at 147, but he has been chasing Khan for 5+ years, which I don't think is worth it. Hell, Loma can't get guys at 130 to step up and fight him. Instead of wasting his time chasing them, he is talking about moving up again, even though he just got to the weight. Charlo's making moves. A fight against the Stevens-Lemieux winner or someone on that tier will give us an idea how he does at the weight.

I know this is a troll, but if you take a look at the top 15 fighters at the weight, it's obviously the most competitive division in boxing. (Not to mention the star power.) It's called the "glamour" division for a reason.
