i've watched literally the entirety of his career, and kept up with all of the pundits who have watched it as well. he was very cautious until his legs started to go. he'd move around the ring with a step or two and wait for you to make mistakes. then he'd move around again. he was known as a "counterpuncher." he was really a cautious boxer and counterpuncher under nacho berestein, a very technical trainer who produced one of the most complete offensive technicians ever, ricardo lopez. good power at FW, certainly not the kind of power that one would expect to carry up in weight the way manny's did.

even when his legs had slowed and he became much more offensive he was known for his combinations, and needed several rounds of basically teeing off at will to beat guys like katsidis and diaz. pacquiao was his first knockout against a truly elite opponent. many of those knockouts that boosted his percentage were in places like the rock and pebble casino in reno.

prior to hooking up with a steroid guru, going through puberty again, breaking out in acne, and looking like the hulk at damn near 40, marquez had never even put pacquiao down.

all of a sudden manny, who had been taking punishment for years and deteriorating, gets hit by a ripped marquez and goes down, and you think it's because marquez a puncher and not because marquez was on PEDS and manny was sliding?

It's amazing that Pacquiao is still at a near elite level considering his age and ring wars.

He still throws to the body. it may not be up close shoulder to shoulder body punching, but he still does it. A lot of his body shots are those straight punches to the gut. He still throws that straight 3 punch combo to the head, body and head.

His straight punches to the gut also set up his feinting straight left upstairs. Guys think the punch is coming downstairs and then Manny throws it upstairs to the head.

libel i'm on f#cking boxingscene posting anonymously. you're more than welcome to bring this post to the attention of marquez' attorney if you'd like to pretend you are a lawyer.

the guy is a ****** drug cheat. broke out in acne and turned into the hulk after hooking up with memo heredia, a documented and self professed expert on illegal performance enhancement. just go through heredia's history FFS. if you're not much of a reader you can find a german documentary in which heredia goes to mexico and injects illegal peds into himself
