I don't think he's in it for the long run anyway, he was more interested in cashing in versus GGG than unifying. He hasn't the heart of the true greats he'll be lucky to be held in higher regard than Khan after Spence has tortured him and his fans souls.
Spence has already come out on record saying he isnt worried about the judges or hometown scoring.

The IBF select the officials and judges. The promoters and management team have no say in who rules over that bout.

no doubt people will say Eddie "IBF" Hearn can influence the strictest, fairest sanction body there is

Hearn appears to have more sway with the WBC lately.

It's about time Khan tried to avenge his losses of so many years ago. Prescott begged him for a rematch countless times and Khan should have obliged him. He might beat the average punching Peterson with a home country advantage. Garcia will never come to England for him and his power and skill will KO Khan again in my opinion.

Anyone who can count on 450,000 mongoloids buying a wank PPV for £16.95 gets sway with the WBC, that just happens to be Hearn because, credit to him, he markets his fighters better to a more welcoming Market.

All the sanctioning bodies with the exception of the IBF will go straight against their own rules to line their pockets. Boxings crooked, always has been and always will be.

He was actually the ref in the Pritchard Colon-Terrel Williams fight that put Colon in a coma.

They must be forgetting Khan went to Peterson's hometown as the champion and was robbed doe? Or should we just gloss over that because it happened in America?

I mean fair enough Khan was an absolute idiot to do that but then we expect that from him....he does have a tendency to do/say mind boggling stuff every so often but still. Surely he deserves a little leeway from Peterson having for some reason agreed to fight in his backyard as the champ and if the rematch ever does happen presumably it'll be with no belts on the line?

Not that it's happening like...OP is just trolling but the point remains.

Why would Lamont Peterson even make such an agreement?

Assuming he wins his fight this week, he instantly becomes mandatory challenger to the title unification fight between Thurman and Garcia (with the timing of the situation likely meaning that the fight would happen come June/July).

Even assuming that he gets beat, that'd be a 90-95 day turnaround between fights for Peterson (1-2 weeks off, another hard 8-week camp, travel to adjust for the time zone difference, and then a hard weight cut to the fight).

And that's assuming that nothing happens to Peterson, physically, in his coming fight (33 years of age, and 16 months off between fights, opens up the chance for some silliness to happen), let alone any talk of how the money would be split up.

If Garcia loses to Thurman, he would take a 50/50 split against Khan on PPV in the UK in an instant. Where does Garcia go after a Thurman loss? Khan is his bread and butter then

I would absolutely love to see Angel start spewing P4ki hate at the pressers in the UK...

                      It'd be like WW3
