There's a reason the WBC president has over 300,000 followers on Twitter while the WBO president only has 4,000. The green belt is the one the most people recognize as the #1 belt in boxing.

Yes Bowe dumped the WBC belt, as did Tyson. They both dumped it to avoid Lennox Lewis. But history vindicates the WBC. The WBC was right that Lennox Lewis was the top contender in the world. Bowe & Tyson both blatantly ducked him with good reason. Lewis proved he was the #1 heavyweight in the world and the WBC was the one that gave him the opportunity.

The WBC heavyweight champion of the world has NEVER lost a unification fight. Look through the list of WBC heavyweight champions and look through the list of the WBO heavyweight champions. It's no comparison.
