The last knockout knockout puncher Garcia fought was Matthysse that was 2013.The last knockout puncher Thurman fought was Diego Chaves. that was 2013 This fight presents some danger for both guys if they decide to trade punches it'll be a explosive fight

Same day as Haye vs Bellew if I'm not mistaken. I know that's a foregone conclusion (IMO) but what a weekend of Boxing.

A very good fight but hardly on the level of the other fights mentioned here

Boxing is dead -- I never heard of CBS primetime.

In 2014, did anybody think in our lifetimes that we would see an undefeated WBC welterweight champion and an undefeated WBA welterweight champion unify live on CBS?

Haymon is the subject of so much hate and derision (thanks to a coordinated smear campaign on the part of HBO and their promoters), but THURMAN vs GARCIA is a symbol of the incredible strides boxing has made with Haymon at the helm.

He wants to eliminate PPV. He wants the biggest fights on free TV, just like the Super Bowl and NBA Finals. Boxing fans should be supporting this movement. It's the only chance boxing has to grow.
