No, he isn't being underestimated. He is being over rated by GGG fans who hate the (very fair) criticism of the lack of quality fighters on his resume.

Danny is a level below GGG IMO, 2 levels below for many other posters. As such, GGG is the heavy favorite going in.

If he wins, he will get credit from me. if he loses, Jacobs gets credit. I am looking forward to a great fight.

I hope Jacobs pulls the upset.

He's a dead man. As always, the commentators will talk about how Danny has beaten cancer and made his mark in boxing. The bell will ring and then...he will get KTFO inside 6.

Jacob's is a good opponent for Golovkin but he's not going to last past six rounds. We already know his chin is not equipped for this kind of fight. Golovkin deserves credit because Jacob's is the best guy in his division to fight.

If anybody won't go past 6 rounds,it'll be old Flamingo legs.

I don't. I think he's being overestimated. He has one solid victory against Quillin, and you can't even read too much into it. He caught him with a great shot and finished him off. A more recent example is Julius Indongo vs. Troyanovsky. Do we actually know that Indongo is an elite fighter now, or was that a lucky shot? Nobody can say.

IMO Lemieux showed more in his career than Jacobs (for ex vs. N'Dam), it's just that he has a limited jab and thus Golovkin was a horrible matchup for him.

From watching Danny, he's definitely improved, but he still swings wildly at times. He'll need to either catch Golovkin early ala Quillin, or he'll need to be the perfect boxer to win this fight. If he fights wildly, he'll get caught. If he tries to minimize risk and be less cautious, he wont be able to dictate the pace that he wants.

Danny will need to strike the perfect balance between fighting aggressively but not take risks. If he can do that, he can win. I have not seen that from him yet, but he has all the tools to do so.
