He was in loads of great fight's that were extremely exciting, hence why his fan-base extended across the pond to the USA.
You don't know what you're blabbering on about.

So every boxer that isnt the no.1 guy in his division has 'mediocre' careers?

What's the point in fighting on if already decided on retirement? A couple more paydays using what little name value he still has? Which will be diminished due to inactivity anyway. With that mindset he may be getting sent into retirement in March by KeAndrae Leatherwood.

Obviously you can't read as I explained my first post why his career was mediocre. His fanbase extended across the pond because he was a decent fighter who played to his Irish fans. I never said he wasn't in any entertaining fights, I said "GREAT"( again in all caps as you seem to not to be able to understand).

Please name off the "great" fights he was in. at fools getting all hurt when you tell the truth about a fighter. As I said Zab Judah's career is better than Lee's, and I like Lee. But retiring now after having not really lived up to anywhere near the hype that he got as a prospect coming up isn't showing any type of greatness. He was simply a good fighter in his divison, and unless he fights a GGG or a Canelo he won't really be remembered for much. Deal with it.

That's just how it is, whether you like it or not
Depends how you look at it. Just think of all the people that take up amateur or pro boxing across the globe. I bet not even 0.0001% end up being world champions.

How can anybody say it's a bad career. He wasn't elite, so what? - He's still had a very successful career in the grand scheme of things.

Maybe so, but even if he has couple of fights against some good names, he can probably still get a few hundred grand per fight if the fights are right. So he might as well still get it while he can.

He will still get some decent fights i think. He's good value for money and also has had a lot more TV time in USA on the likes of HBO than most British fighters get.

Lee drew with Quillin and lost with Saunders, so whatever 'big fights' he gets, he's getting them in a raffle. Likeable fighter but that one win over Korobov is about all he has in the assets column.

Again, nobody said his career ****** or was bad. Are people on this site ******ed or something? I said he didn't live up to the hype since he was a prospect. He had a few decent fights but nothing to write home about when you look at his career. Decent career but no huge accomplishments, that's just how it is. His best win is Matt Korobov. People are acting like i'm saying Lee was a bum or something. His career is forgettable, let's just say that. Micky Ward has more or an imprint for crying out loud

Thank you. I swear, telling the truth is like a personal insult to people nowadays. Very few can deal with it

Can't be that forgettable, you're on here making long rants about him.

Besides, you said he had "mediocre" career - and i said it was far from that in the big picture, considering he won a world title and was a top 10 MW. Which is further than probably 99.99% of boxers will ever get. So yeah, he did accomplish a lot, just not as much as some other fighters, but much more than nearly everybody that has laced up a pair of gloves.

He fought for, won and subsequently lost legit title fights. You can hardly claim he wasn't in high profile fights, he fought a 10 stone heavier JCC! Who was a big name then
