Really? the tristate area looks nothing like LA or Chicago. Trump supporters think all hispanics look alike anyways... let's be clear

Aye Oscar, **** New York! Bring that press tour to Southern California twice!
Once in L.A and the other in either Orange County or San Diego!
This is where the Mexicans represent the most!
      Puro Sur Califas!

HBO should focus on these cities. Wasn'T Chavez Jr. vs Fonfara in Chicago?

That chart is correct but you are not because it says Mexicans as in born in Mexico, there are a lot more that are born in the US and not in those numbers.

True, Southern Cali is where Mexicans are represented the most but Oscar , being from Souther Cali wants to expand the marketing of the fight to other places with a smaller population of Mexican descend and have other Latinos and non Latinos interested in this fight.

you are confused. The context is buildup for this fight and which cities should be targeted. As you said yourself, the chart is from foreign born, minus the stateside born Mexicans. They should've hit Chicago.

from 2010. ''Mexican American'' stateside populus

            California 11,423,146
            Texas 7,951,193
            Arizona 1,657,668
            Illinois 1,602,403
            Colorado 757,181
            Florida 629,718
            Washington 601,768
            New Mexico 590,890
            Nevada 540,978
            Georgia (U.S. state) Georgia 519,502
            North Carolina 486,960
            New York 457,288

I'm excited about Canelo vs Chavez because of what it means for Mexico. Now this is the scenario that I broke down in my head as to why this is happening and why I think it's exciting. Oscar wants Canelo to fight Chavez purely based on his name and what his father's legacy means to Mexico. He's trying to build Canelo as Mexico's true hero so what better way than to fight the legend's son and take that title when you can't fight the legend himself. Also I see various comments online that lead me to think that some in Mexico don't see Canelo as a pure Mexican. Now Chavez hasn't done anything significant in years but he was (when he wanted to be) a viable threat. He stopped Andy Lee in his prime and was a world champion a one point. He has the weight advantage and he knows what's at stake in this fight. It's all about pride. We all know how good Canelo is and I don't think that he would pass this opportunity up to shine. I just think this fight has great potential. I'm kind of skeptical of Chavez using Herrera to make weight especially with his history of skipping drug tests but I guess he pulling out all the stops to make sure he wins.

Yeah, nobody in NY cares to see this press conference. They should take it to an area where due to demographics people will buy into it regardless of the fact that on paper it's a joke of a fight.
