    Is Kovalev/Ward a modern-day classic?

Despite the fact there's still heated debates about the outcome. And these debates are the reason why people tend to forget how good this fight was while it lasted. Do you think that people will be arguing about that fight 10-20 years from now? Do you consider that fight a modern day classic? What you think

And we're not talking about the result or who's the real winner here

That being said, considering all of that, I don't want to see a rematch, it will be the same fight minus KD, Kovalev just doesn't have the right tools in his arsenal to beat Ward, starting with a lack of accurate uppercut to prevent Ward clinching attempts, and soild body work to weaken Ward's defense - Kovalev was head hunting too much - he doesn't have these tools in his arsenal.

Before the fight started, I've said that body shots is a key to win for both fighters

modern classic?!?! did i watch a different fight to everyone else on this site??? Hardly hagler-hearns, pacquiao-marquez, morales-barrera was it. Even degale v jack the other day was considerably better. There was barely a combo landed in the second half of the fight. Lots of grappling.

I just hate these Vargas/Salido toe to toe type of fights that's going full distance, 2 boxers beating each other into a pulp for 12 rounds, that usually means both of them doesn't have enough pop to knock out the opponent , nor the skills to outbox, **** is just boring

kovalev just doesn't have the right judges in his arsenal to beat ward. it was a domination. kov won with ease. you are just making up phantom critieria to pretend ward won. go watch the punch vid. not close. even kov's body shots were much better than wards lil taps while holding(illegal) ward knows he was out of his league you can stop the pretending.
