This was at a time he was becoming mandatory for the IBF. So obviously a no brainer.

Brook has since offered Bradley a fight twice and was turned down both times.
He was offered half a million. More than He had ever made and more than he made fighting Porter. He didn't fight for the IBF until two years afterwards. He had a shot at Bradley for the title. Beat Bradley and he'd get the Pacquiao fight. Beat Pacquiao and he'd get the rematch and/or Marquez/Cotto/Margarito, all who were with Top Rank at the time. The dude has had plenty of opportunities and he's turned them all down!

Generally a deal like that involves options.Brook didn't need a deal like that when he was close to fighting for a title anyway. He ended up fighting a more intimidating fighter anyway. By the time it's Spence, it would've been three.

Like I just explained to lacedup. Top Rank had Bradley, Cotto, Margarito, and Pacquiao. Those are great options. And he was offered how highest payday, and more than he got fighting Porter.

              • One-sided stories. Nothing from the Spence camp. It's not balanced.

I have yet to hear Spence celebrate about this.

                • Where's all the muppets who said Brook would do an Amir Khan and run like a rat.

Brook is here for this fight and all the idiots who have been so full of themselfs are WRONG .I just hope that Spence puts in a decent showing as I want to see some fireworks at ringside and not another Jeff Lacey bounced from pillar to post.

Lol yeah he fought the IBF fight in 2014 because of multiple pull outs from him and Alexander + an extension from shawn porter. Not like he didn't want to fight for the belt straight away. But nicely done leaving out very important details.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that he would have sold his life to Bob Arum and lol at "he'd get the Pacquiao fight"

Only Marquez was with Arum at the weight Brook would have been a champion at. He didn't exactly jump at the chance to fight Brook when the opportunity was there after he witnessed Brook beating Porter.

What does Cotto and Margarito have to do with a welterweight champion in 2012?

Brook wanted to fight Pacquiao for free at one time - According to Frank Warren. Kell's dad told Warren they'd fight Pacquiao for free - Wasn't chosen.

Pacquiao wouldn't fight Brook in 2012, 2013 or now or forever. He's too big for Pacquiao. They learned in the Margarito fight not to fight these guys.
