I doubt we are gonna agree on anything tbh. And the Lacy fight is always viewed in pure revisionist terms now because Lacy was, in fact, not very good. But he was genuinely hyped.

But there are some world class fighters stateside who really aren't major stars.

British boxing is doing okay. But if Thurman was English that guy would be made of money by now.

The lack of promotion of some of those fighters is criminal. Hype is definitely a good thing as it generates more money and as such makes the fights happen.

What's your definition of a "brutha?" I'd like to hear it.

And what I said about Brook, for months, is that he needed to hurry up and honor his mandatory otherwise he needed to give up the belt.

So if this fight really has gotten made then I'll be pleased as punch. Far better for Spence to contest the crown against Brook than against someone like Berto.

And maybe all the pressure that we fans were putting on Hearn and Brook helped tip the balance.
