Well I know he commentated for Eubank Quinlan.. Surely if he was still employed by HBO he wouldn't be allowed to do commentary for a different network?

I didn't hear him commentate during the Quinlan fight, he only made a few comments after the fight in the post fight interview. I watched the fight on ITV. I think HBO and ITV don't want him as a commentator in case they alienate half their viewers, nothing against him but he's not very well liked after the controversial win over Kovalev.

He was definitely one of the ITV commentators. Why would HBO fire him? It's not like he is one of HBO main commentators, Jim lampley was or Max kellerman but not a one off commentator like Ward.
