Hopefully I'm wrong this fight just got me thinking how hypocritical we are as boxing fans. We need more fights like this and only real way that will happen is if as fans we stop discrediting fighters when they lose. Mayweather in a way conditioned us to think 0 were a must cause of how great he was. I know this is a random thought it's just something I thought about
    Depends how they lose.

The loser could even make it so close as to demand a rematch

If one gets stopped easily or quickly then come back slowly against Amir Khan type fighter .

The winner can look forward to big nights against the likes of Brook or Spence.

      nice observation.

garcia moves better than a lot of people give him credit for though; i know he isnt particularly "fast" on his feet but his timing is excellent. thurman does not take body shots well (watch collazo1).

Every fighter will have an off night and styles make fights. Peterson is a tough fight for most guys unless you have immense power. Thurman is a good fighter but we all know he can be hurt. Yes Danny is a little slow but now one can beat his timing. Also the so called slow feet are actually carefully timed movements as Danny doesn't waste energy. He only moves when it's necessary and also only enough to get away from a shot and plant his own shots.

Those 2 can give most guys problems and Danny is no exception. Having said that you need to see what Danny will do to Thurman, thats one great fight.

Maybe he is not limited, but he is not a real ww. Thurman is true ww, with experience. Garcia only beat Guerrero for vacant belt.

Is Thurman a physical fighter? Who did Thurman defeat for his title?

Sure why not? All of them need to get it on.
