After multiple cancellations, super bantamweight prospect Diego De La Hoya (16-0) will finally make his first ring appearance of 2017. Golden Boy Promotions head matchmaker Robert Diaz has told BoxingScene.com that he will return on the Davis Lemieux-Curtis Stevens undercard on March 11th in Verona, New York.

Well at least Diego is fighting at least. This fight will knock some rust off and if he wins he will either Main Event on the May 5th ESPN date or get an undercard spot of Canelo vs Chavez.

Either way Golden Boy needs Diego to have a big year in 2017.

It would have been nice for Roc Nation and Golden Boy Promotions to make a deal with HBO to have Rigo vs Flores as the main event and De La Hoya vs Salinas as the Co Main Event.
