Should it be mandatory for fighters to wear their trunks at bellybutton level?

I often don't understand them so I'm sure the fighters don't either. One thing that should be stopped is boxers wearing giant foul protectors that come up almost to their ****. These protectors make it hard to hurt a guy with legal body punches. De La Hoya's foul protector was like a suit of armor.

        There should be more than a few changes.

        1) Trunk belt should not exceed a certain size and thickness.
        2) Trunks should not go below knee level.
        3) Trunks should be worn on the natural belt line, on the hips. (So yeah, below button)

        If I had it my way, which I know probably can't be done because of marketing/sponsors, I would ban shorts and solely authorize either compression shorts or very short runner shorts.

        5) Foul protectors can only cover genitals. Foul protectors that protect any part of the abdomen are to be banned.
