    Hated outside of the ring

Its hard to say why he is so hated.

I do think part of it is bigotry. Of course a Pakistani ****** will face some bigotry.

But he really is a bit of a tool outside of the ring. This whole drama with his wife & family is comedy. What I find ridiculous is that he even professes to be a devout religious person. Everyone knows he's a big cuz hound (which I completely respect).

Also you can choose to (pretend to be) devout or you can choose to marry an Instragram model. You cant really do both.

I for one find all the outside the ring issues to be very amusing and nothing to be really concerned about -- it doesn't impact my respect for him in the ring -- but I understand many dislike him for it.

Nobody's saying he's p4p of belongs in the HOF. Yes, his best opponent was Canelo, who KTFO him. But look at his resume, esp. early in his career.

I mean, he went to war w/ Chino and not only survived, he WON -- even got Chino's respect with that sick body shot. That's when I really began to respect Khan. Got screwed in the LPete fight. Was boxing DSG well, but fell into trading and KTFO. Add dudes like Kotelnik, Collazo, Devon Alexander. He has had a good career, with a lot of good fighters on his resume. No reason not to respect Khan.

He fought a lot of good boxers.

            Different backgrounds.

He likely grew around people who would salute someone for getting ass whooped by the biggest bully on the block so long as they stepped up to the plate. In the early stages of his career, it probably was about him proving that he was the little guy willing to step up the plate.

Reality kicks in. He'd see the disrespect and now it is about maximising the $s.
