That was a great fight....props to both...both showed grit and skillsWhy??? Easter needed a gift decision just to beat a guy not ranked in #10 most lists at LW?? I don't see Commey ranked in the Top #10 at all do you???In fact he LOST on ONE judges card and the other had them both tied in the 12 round???

Close fights happen sheesh .....no one will be in a hurry to unify with a 5'11" lightweight with pop, skills, n speed....Mikey has the cajones....I doubt the others willComment

You're still not getting it do you? Mikey needs to get back in the ring ASAP, like NOW if someone is available. He suffered no injuries in his last fight.
Linares' fight with Crolla is still one and a half months away and will likely to have a battle-ridden fight just like the first one and they normally take their time before deciding to go back in the ring. Loma and Linares are also non-PBC fighters. You people make it sound as if it's that easy. Easter is a PBC fighter and is now available at least in the negotiating phase.Comment

I think Mikey Garcia vs. Robert Easter Jr. is a good fight, but for Mikey, it's very high-risk, low reward! Linares vs. Crolla is on March 25th, and Loma vs. Sosa is on April 8th. That gives enough time for a Garcia vs. Linares/Loma fight in the summer/fall of 2017. Those fights are worth the wait. In the meantime, it would make sense that Easter Jr. faces his mando: Shafikov! You're still not getting it do you? Mikey needs to get back in the ring ASAP, like NOW if someone is available. He got the chance to have an optional defense at home before any mandatory. Most boxers aren't down to go to Toledo for a minimal check and a likely loss except journeymenComment

KOs always impress and they look better for the highlight reels. The more you can get, the better. Not always feasible, but there are times a guy backs off and takes the decision, which just isn't as admirable as getting the KO.Comment
