Not at all. A quick google search on the first page yielded this round by round by the Guardian. Szpilka was clearly bossing the fight.

I can find many more sources to back me up if necessary.

The big fights only happen when the money outweighs the risk, or the organizations enforce mandatories - which they pretty much always fail to do.

That basically means that the beltholders will only fight boxers from 15-30 in the (overall) rankings, until the money becomes big enough for them to fight.

So yeah they're ducking - they all do it. But they're also maximizing their profits for the least risk. Like it or not, that's just good business sense. Bravado can cost these guys millions of dollars in the long run. Why risk it when you have the chance to set yourself up for life?

The only way to change this as consumers is to stop paying for crap fights.

good point, boxers are business men now looking for the greatest reward and lowest risk, very few guys that take on all comers without monetary diva demands...

Dude come on, Spzilka was well down on the official cards when he got baptized..

"At the time of Wilder's stoppage, he was ahead on all three scorecards 78-74, 78-74, and 77-75.."

Hahaha, remember when Wilder called out Parker and said "I'll fight him in April!", despite the fact he knew Parker was defending his title in March already? Problem is, most of his bumfans barely follow boxing - so there was hardly a lick of bad PR.

Be careful what you wish for, Wilder - if you don't put enough conditions on your challenges, you'll have your bluff called. And Parker is shown he isn't one to turn down a good fight.

Wilder wants Parker to win so he can fight him.

                    Why you mad about that?

                    Maybe you're worried.
