Anyone who pays any attention whatsoever to what Johnny Nelson has to say in regards to Kell Brook is an idiot. Nelson is a Sky shill who is only trying to encourage others to buy into their nonsense. He also happens to have been a former product of the Ingle gym in Sheffield. A poor one at that. Possibly one of the worst boxing pundits I've ever seen. I mean Kell Brook is an amazing well rounded technical boxer with a great jab no doubt but when you look at his resume and his opponents total losses rack up something like 925 losses that is just a complete joke. 925 losses!! What the hell has he been doing all these years exactly?? Numbers just do not lie Mr Nelson and if you compare Errol Spences resume so far I guarantee you that it will be far superior to Kell Brooks at a similar stage.
Saying he'll be bigger than Khan? Lol someone please tell me how? He's already 30 and achieved very little at his own weight class which he campaigned at most of his life whereas Khan achieved a lot at his original weight classes and moved up chasing money and was getting knocked out left, right and centre but did not shy away from any kind of challenge so his name, unfortunately, was still in the limelight and that was away from the UK fighting in the US. The proof is in the pudding and even though I'm not a fan of either Brook or Khan but as a neutral the more popular fighter will always be Amir Khan since he has a niche market, been in the limelight far longer from a younger age whether it's for the right or wrong reasons and I believe with time we'll see the fight get made.
The only way Brooks popularity can better Khans is if he beats Khan, which should be easy considering how extremely heavy Kell Brook is for a welterweight and how poor Khans level of focus and concentration are (as we saw with Canelo when he switched off for a minute and lights out), so just accept his diva demands and take all the glory and stop worrying about popularity. The way Nelson has put it is absolute nonsense though so just seriously ignore that complete fool. Just such a tool that guy. Can't stand him.
