Listen, I like both fighters, but there is a reason The Welterweight Division is still saying Spence needs to "earn his stripes" after 21 fights. Not only Brook, Thurman, Garcia, and Bradley was called out and they were quiet saying the same ole excuses over and over. Props to Brook.....If the fight goes through. To say Algieri(World Champion KO'D) and Bundu (Euro Champ KO'D) isn't a litmus test, then Pacquiao couldn't stop Algieri, and Thurman couldn't stop Bundu. We call Spence #THETRUTH, and Brook won't get a cake walk like he did with Kevin Bizier, JoJo Dan, and Frankie Gavin. Let's get it on 2017 #STRAPSEASON

      32,000 and Kells home town.

Hearn should have no problem selling it out to be honest.

of course highlights dont tell it all, but trust me i've been right off highlights alone when i came to gauging technique...he knocked algerie down in the forth with a huge **** and while throwing that sot he had his right hand glued to his chin.

if u hurt in a defensive high guard yes he steps with his left read to lauch instead of to his face..by your posture he doesnt fear u hurting him..

later he knocked him 5 yards back with a straight left and brought that punch right back to his chin....

im not sure how much more i need to watch but so far your claims are looking low...
Watch his fights in their whole. Watching a guy when he knocks someone out or highlight punches of course tell you nothing about their flaws.

but i must say u are off by a long shot..this kid throws every punch and brings it back or rolls a shoulder while he takes away a body shot counter...i disagree with the chin in the air claims as well

going back in straight lines..ok sometimes...hands up when he does that? yes..he made the mistake once vs bundu dropping his hands while going bakc and got jabbed...he tightened it up right away..

this kid is not like carl frampton who just fights off ability and continually drops his hands and leaves his chin up ..his technique is superb
If it's not true then why did he constantly get tagged? He also looks like he slightly panics a little bit when fire is returned, pretty normal for a young pro.

He definitely drops his hand and leaves his head open for every jab he throws.

I'm not off by a long shot, the problem is that you don't see those mistakes being taken advantage of because he's fighting lesser opposition. A world class champion like Brook will literally see those things in the first 30 seconds, then he'll counter with the left hook over the jab and shoot the straight right down the pipe. Consistently. Brook is probably the more damaging puncher as it is. And Spence has been stiffened by inferior fighters recently.

Add to that, Spence will have become accustomed to going in square on to get inside, Brook will shoot a sharp jab straight in his face and then Spence will realize he made the mistake to step in the ring with Brook this early in his career. Brook will start unloading vicious hooks and uppercuts and Spence will dance around in the ring like Bambi as the fight gets called off.

It'll be easy work and then I'll wake up to NSB saying Spence wasn't that good and nobody was really that high on him. Certainly no one will admit to have said Brook was scared or ducking.

I ain't surprised. This is the best way to generate money for this fight. Brook is a big draw in Sheffield and he will probably sell out close to the 32,000 capacity.

Trying to sell this as a PPV in May will be quite tough because in the uk we already have Haye-Bellew in March and AJ-Klitschko in April so a ppv in the 3rd back to back month might be a tough sell so generating more money from stadium ticket makes sense instead of Sheffield arena where the capacity is like 13k.

One thing I will say though being from the UK and the crazy atmospheres our boxing events have is that if Spence goes there and wins clearly then he is definitely the truth because it won't be easy.

"I was never that high on Spence" - That's my bet.
When Spence wins I don't want any excuses about Brook being being weight drained or his eye not being properly healed.

I've watched Spence for a while -not just the highlights. There is a class difference between him and Brook and it will show in the fight.

                  Spence dismantles Brook with ease.

And Brook will be severely weakened coming back to 147. Seriously, if the bookies have Brook a favourite, I'm betting heavy on this one (for Spence).

But I feel brook was just like that fck this, I will fight Spence, brook under a different promoter would of thrived I think. It's Hearn is the poison, not brook.... IMO
I agree, but motivation plays a part. Floyd has $300million dollars, he can throw some in the fire. Hearn hasn't hit the jackpot yet. He's looking for a money maker in a sweaty barn somewhere. He normaly gets the best deals for his guys, but that Canelo money was too good to haggle, I guess.

Big Mistake! Kell Brook's body has out grown the 147 pound division! this is very bad promoting from Eddie Hearn!

Kell Brook needs to move up to the 154 division, his trainers know it! and deep down so does Eddie Hearn. I am not sure why Hearn is being bullied and influenced by boxing fans! I feel as if he makes emotional decisions, due to the criticism he receives! If boxing was a game of chess, the Golovkin fight was a move made way to early! you don't jump up two weight divisions, and go straight into a fight with a fully fledged World Champion at that weight class!

If i was Kell Brook's promoter, you ether get him fights with big named fighters at the tail end of their career at 147! such as Manny Pacquiao, or you move up in weight! (Very simple)...

If Kell Brook the adequate preparation for the Golovkin fight, such as 1-2 fights at 160! he might of beaten him. His body was clearly not adjusted to the weight class, and neither where his bones! when a fighter moves up in weight, your bones have to become denser to adapt to the extra weight and forces being produced. Your bones have a slow cell turnover, much slower than your muscles. It takes 6 months for your bones to remodel and adjust to a new stimulus...
