If there were a hypothetical fighter on the scene right now who beat ALL the current top heavyweights out there - let's say they, not Fury, ended Klitschko's reign and then beat Tyson Fury in a separate fight after, and then defeated (in no particular order) the likes of Luis Ortiz, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, David Haye, Klitschko again, etc. - and eventually ended their career undnefeated, could this individual have a strong argument for being the greatest Heavyweight in boxing history?

No one in any modern era will get the credit as past eras have ,its the dumbed down critical thinking of the boxing way !

A guy up and coming i dont think has the time frame to do all that regardless ,it would have to be someone on the list already and the two are Klitchko who can still make an impact and Joshua who could wipe out everyone and proceed to do so for years after this current crew and rack up the years of dominance to earn that . Anyone else? Well i dont see it now or the next 5 years of anyone on those two level .

IF someone did what you said well the argument for BEST ever is debatable .....GREATEST ? no matter how great someone is ,boxing history simply wont bend to it even if it was warranted !

No, because Wlad looked like dogshot in his last fight, and he's probably past his prime.

Honestly, Fury didnt look like anything special IMO v. Wlad -- good movement maybe, but not hard to fight a statue. I dont really hold Fury in high esteem. Some of his punches look like bum fights.

And all the other HW you list are unproven right now, Wilder, Ortiz, Joshua. I do think they are all good contender level HWs, but if someone beat them at this current stage, you could discount the wins a bit. It might actually be better to have those HWs fight each other, so that one or two really excellent champs emerge.

And then if your speculative HW beat those 2 champs, and the others, then he'd get more credit.

But when you're comparing this era's HWs with the Golden Age of the 70s .. or even the HWs Louis or Holmes took down, no I dont see it.

Lucas Browne
David Haye
Anthony Joshua
Wladimir Klitschko II
Luis Ortiz
Joseph Parker
Alexander Povetkin
Deontay Wilder

Unifying all titles in the process and retiring undefeated. He would go down as an ATG but not sure about the GOAT heavyweight. A prime Tyson Fury on his A-game is a tough proposition for any heavyweight past or present.
