Actually I'm entirely correct. What they're saying is "Spence is next, unless Amir Khan has a sudden change of heart."

And like I stated, they waited until 2 days before the purse bid to even start negotiating with Spence, and has asked for an extension still hoping Khan comes around...

If he does fight Spence, and that's a big IF, the fight won't be announced until Monday, which is exactly 1 day before his extension is up.

I doubt Hearn will put Brook in with Spence. Hearn only matches his stars up with guys that he is almost sure they can beat, but maybe with AJ drawing 90K to Wembley he thinks Brook is a sideshow and expendable. King Khan will never fight Brook, this is just getting ridiculous. Brook will probably vacate and start fighting soft touches at 154..

I agree with you though, brook should be operating his career as if the fight won't happen, as opposed to looking pathetic, and pretty much basing EVERY career decision on hoping Khan comes around. How many times does a girl have to tell you, you're not her type before you move on?

lol I'd be hoping for the same thing if I were Hearn. Thankfully, I am not. Hopefully the Brook/Spence fight gets made official in the next few days.Khan already said he'd be willing to lelt the fight go on and then the fight the winner.

I should of said he matches his guys with fighters he knows they can beat OR there is zero shame in losing to so they can recover quick. Klit is a HW legend so losing to him is not the end. Bellew is a CW moving up so it's a no-lose situation. Brook moving up two divisions to fight GGG, the most feared fighter in boxing? He couldn't lose.

NOBODY but uk fans want to see that fight, first of all.

Second of all, Khan has told him they won't fight until later in the year, and he has also told him to fight his mandatory, yet hearn and brook don't seem to get it, and has asked for another week before signing on for spence, hoping khan comes around.

They have mentioned cotto, pacquiao, khan as potential opponents, knowing full well they had slim to no chance of any of those fights. When it came to spence, he wasn't a big enough name, and this thing has been dragged out for 3 months before negotiations have even taken place...so yes, they've looked at every angle to avoid this fight, up until exactly right now.

That 154 argument you're making is trash. They know full well what the rest of us know, and hearn has admitted as much. The big fights are in the ww division, there is NOTHING at 154 moneywise. That's why they're negotiating with spence, because they have to get through him first. Brook doesn't deserve this medal of honor you're giving him, he's backed into a corner and has no choice but to face spence, or he can move up to 154 and fight lara, andrade, and charlo back to back to back, for less money than if they stay at 147.
