Deontay Wilder has only ever fought one top ten opponent

Golovkin was potentially 2-2 hence his apprehension in upping his work rate, I believe his fear of being jobbed in the UK made him become sloppier than he would usually. Canelo again most certainly was losing rounds, Khan took at least two. I wouldn't personally have scored a round to Brook but the Canelo fight arguably Khan most certainly had two rounds, dude had to fight on the back foot a la Lara he knew he couldn't take a hammer blow.
Szpilka was boxing and making Wilder miss wide, his footwork and head movement was far superior to anything Wilder has showcased his entire career, it was almost the perfect fight plan, ultimately he burnt out.
Wilder is a good contender, when he loses I want no one to be denied the credit they're due whether its Parker, Ortiz or Klitschko who get to him first, I'm sure you'll say Wilder was useless then though.
Making someone miss bad and look wild is different than actually winning rounds, Szpilka won some early rounds but Wilder was pulling away by the end as wilder was landing the bigger shots over the middle portion of the fight. That is exactly how the fight played out Szpilka could make Wilder miss a good amount but could not mount offense after the beginning while Wilder actually landed good shots.
Why would you give someone respect if they beat Wilder, if you think so poorly of him you should not give any credit and you shouldn't be begging for anyone to do the same. Show actual respect and watch with a clear head when he fights and maybe what you said will make sense, but based on what you say about the Szpilka fight I don't see that happening.
I will give someone credit for beating Wilder because I think higher of him.Comment

Losing rounds to what are essentially over matched foes happens, once they are figured out the fights turn and then end. Some just go on a bit longer, and some end with a towel getting thrown in while others end up laid out cold.

That's a crazy stat. The heavyweight division has been so weak that's it hard to understand how he could only have fought one top 10 guy. Late starter and all but still.
I think this year will be year. I'm disappointed we didn't get to see Povetkin. That was a really interesting fight. But **** Povetkin. For Wilder's own sake he needs to beat some ranked heavyweights before the super-fights come along. Otherwise he'll be in big trouble.Comment

Nor has Ortiz.
Why single out Wilder???????????????
AJ and Ortiz just fought Wilder's leftovers
What does that say about their level of comp????????Comment

so what about vada, you all say 'oh it doesnt matter jacobs isnt on vada' but apparantly wilder has to fight people on vada now, since when was that his policy? Haye called out wilder a while back and got no response, for someone with a big mouth wilder sure does go quiet when called out. We'll see whether joshua wilder happens, i'd bet half my points it doesnt happen this year.
As you knew, Jacobs isn't ranked by the WBC. Ortiz is. I also said I would prefer Jacobs enroll in Vada.. well actually, here are my EXACT words.
Haye is fighting competition worse than the Duahuappas, Wawrzyks and Gerald Washington's of the world. I guess we can go back and forth on call-outs and call everyone a ducker. Like Haye ducking Briggs or what have you. I'll just let him do his campaign and continue fighting the guys he's fighting.
As far as Joshua goes, I think the fight happens. I'll put a little wager on it if you like. Points, green/red k whateverComment

Deontay Wilder has only ever faced one top ten Ring or Transnational opponent, and that was Bermane Stiverne who isn't really very good and has never fought any top ten HW other than Wilder.
Anthony Joshua turned pro 4 years after Wilder. He's YOUNGER by 4 years and had no more amateur experience than Wilder, but he's already set to fight ATG Wladimir Klitschko, who has been ranked in the Ring top 3 for 11 years.
I think Joshua's past opponents like Breazeale and Martin are better than Wilder's last opponent, poor old shot-to-pieces Cristobal Arreola.
In all seriousness I rate Wilder win over Duhaupas, and that little Polish guy much higher than Stiverne but none of those two have been top ten fighters neither do I believe Stiverne has been a top ten fighter either.Comment

There is at least ten guys I think that would be much better than anything Wilder has fought
Joseph Parker
Anthony Joshua
Wladimir Klitschko
Luis Ortiz
David Haye
Kubrat Pulev
Alexander Povetkin
Andy Ruiz Jr
Carlos Takam
Adrian GranatComment
