Comments Thread For: Lewis: If Klitschko Still Had Steward - He'd Be Champ, Beats Joshua

Lennox Lewis believes Wladimir Klitschko would beat Anthony Joshua if his trainer Manny Steward was still alive. Lewis is also convinced the 40-year-old would never have lost to Tyson Fury with Steward in his corner, and that Klitschko's biggest challenge in preparing for his April 29 fight with Joshua comes in shifting his focus from Fury.

I recon Lewis is right to a certain extent.. Steward would have blasted Wlad if he did nothing & let it so late in the fight against Fury, still remember the Chambers fight when Manny was livid with Wlad & he made sure he noticed & 2 rounds later Chambers was unconscious.. though Bank does not have the same method to motivate as Manny did, he was Manny's choice & wish so Wlad will stick through with him..

Wlad wasnt even listening to his brother, dude didnt show up until the 12th round when all Tubbs Lardy had to do was clinch, ironic that Wlad who's made a career of spoiling and stalling was beaten at his own game when he finally showed up after the 33rd minute.

Failure is not an option he says and he can reappropiate three of his four belts in one fell swoop, if that don't motivate him nothing will, forget what Banks or Vitali bring.

It has nothing to do with him not listening and everything to do with his age. That's what happens to old fighters. He's not 30-35 anymore and the reflexes and timing are not the same.

Alot of fans of athletes have a hard time excepting the FACT that father time is undefeated, and when your reflexes and timing leave, you cant pull the trigger or dodge punches when your mind tells you...Look at all the guys on here, thinking manny is still young manny...but I still believe Klitschko still has enough to beat this young guy. He just needs to put that "stick" (jab) out there and young bull will get impatient, tie his young ass up when he gets close, and send those missle right hands at him, one will catch his ass and hurt him, then its over

Steward did change Klitschko's entire career around, Lewis too.
