The only disadvantage I see is the weight.

Golovkin is 34 years old, fighting at a weight that his body no longer seems to tolerate all that well; time is Golovkin's enemy.

In two years time, Spence is going to be just about hitting his physical prime (likely filling in as a solid-sized junior middleweight with the frame to go up another weight class).

spence hasnt done anything at ww yet.

cmon people. enough is enough. let the kid PROVE himself.

3g at least proved he can maintain dominance in a weak div (for now).

I'd lean towards Spence but that's more because I don't see Spence getting to 160 for like another five years and by then who knows what GGG will look like if he was still even in the sport.

Don't matter who people would think win, it is a fight that make ZERO Sense right now. This is not like Fight Night Video Game people fight in Divisions for a Reason.

Spence Jr haven't proved anything at 147 yet but throw him in GGG at 160 yeah that make sense right?

Golovkin does everything better than Spence, and the fight doesn't even make sense.

Spence would risk destroying his prime and not even getting paid well for it. He's got much better opponents to fight - if he can get Danny, Thurman, Bradley, Brook and even Pac in the ring, that would be a much bigger coup.

It's generally not a good idea to drop down in weight, especially if said boxers are bigger guys. And I highly doubt GGG drops down to 154, he's already in his mid 30's.
