If Jacobs beats GGG..will he get credit or will there just be excuses?

So what? doesn't change the fact that he will be 35 years old and at that age boxers take loss after loss and then retire. Even ATG's.
Look at other sports... people retire at that age, and if they keep playing you know they are over the hill.
But staying on topic... yes Jacobs will get the credit.
However if Canelo beats Golovkin in 2018 I won't give him credit.Comment

No, because all the other guy gets criticized for right now is for lack of competition, weak resume (Wades don't do it for most people). Why should Jacobs get much credit? The critics will just say that proves the other guy was a hypejob all along, not that Jacobs was any good.Comment

Just because people don't believe Golovkin is an ATG or top P4P, doesn't mean he isn't a good fighter.

Also are you saying Golovkin suddenly became past prime when he started VADA? Which doesn't allow fighters to get away with PEDs easily. That's a bit of a coincidence. He will get my credit if he beats Golovkin. If he beats him by robbery, of course not.
Golovkin is past prime and everyone understands that an athlete being 35 years old is old, specialy if he's under advanced testing like Golovkin is.
A little bit of steroids, HGH and Epo can make you 10 years younger, but he's not doing USADA you know...
