What happened to Billy Joe Saunder's "big fight" announcement?

Could never understand how general heads always take any form of media for granted. For instance Hearn and Warren get the benefit of the doubt from viewers... Hearn is an egotistical daddy's boy running business. Dude looks shady as hell. The Brook vs gGG bout was the last thing to make things clear. Also it was interesting to see JOHN Ryder last night on ITV. I thought he was exclusive to Matchroom''s Sky. Is Ryder still with Eddie? Checked the site, he's still listed as rosterThey do more press conferences announcing they're gonna announce a big fight than actually announcing a big fight. But Boxnation showing the Eubank's losses to compete with their ITV PPV is BRILLIANT!!!!!!
All talk no action. Eubank Sr is talk and action. Didn't get what he wanted out of Hearn and Warren so he went out and did it his own way.Last edited by Lester Tutor; 02-05-2017, 12:23 PM.Comment

They want Eubank Sr to fail so bad because he didn't go thru traditional means and did it on his own. But look at the fight thread posted on here. Over 370 posts. I looked on reddit, over 500 posts. On Twitter everybody is talking about David Price. A single facebook stream of the fight had over 90k people watching it. Not good for their PPV numbers but it shows there is a demand to watch the card. I don't know if the fight will be a financial success but it was a success building buzz and promoting his son.Could never understand how general heads always take any form of media for granted. I liked it. There were some good fights on there. It will be better in the future. They want Eubank Sr to fail so bad because he didn't go thru traditional means and did it on his own. You know that Hearn and Warren hate the fact that this guy got ITV to commit to box office.Comment

I enjoyed it myself. Saw a twitter exchange between Hearn and Dibella this week.
Eddie Hearn thinks Deontay Wilder needs to be built up more in the US for a future PPV vs Anthony Joshua - The Ring https://t.co/y9CGL3yq0f

C'mon @EddieHearn, PPV isn't the holy grail or the mountain top. Limits viewers, fails to build new fans and separates people from their $. https://t.co/VeXyXefB4K
— Lou DiBella (@loudibella) February 2, 2017
@loudibella ok, you can tell @BronzeBomber he can take the fight for 5 times less money then!
— Eddie Hearn (@EddieHearn) February 2, 2017
Are World Cup, World Series or #SuperBowl PPV? More households saw @BronzeBomber vs. Arreola @FOXTV than ALL Joshua's PPVs combined. #fact

The funny part about this exchange is I saw American boxing fans cheering on Hearn instead of DiBella. Maybe it's because DiBella is tied to Haymon. Hearn wants to charge you for the fight, Dibella wants to give it to you for free. Grow the sport. But I've wondered how good of a promoter would Hearn be without his Sky deal which he got from his father's relationship with the network. He's a good salesman but I notice the brits see right thru his shit while Americans eat it up. He's done a lot for the resurgence of boxing but give others that same deal and they'd probably be just as successful?Comment
