  • Comments Thread For: Photos: Christian Hammer Shocks David Price With TKO Win

David Price paid the price Saturday for failing to finish off Christian Hammer in the fifth round of their heavyweight fight. Hammer stopped a depleted Price in the seventh round, with an exhausted Price essentially out on his feet. Referee Phil Edwards stopped the fight at 1:22 of the seventh round, with the huge British heavyweight leaning against the ropes, unable to defend himself.

They tried fast track this guy to a Klitschko shot by throwing him in with Thompson too soon and he's never recovered. You can't bypass European level on your way up from domestic to world level, I know Maloney needed to have his d1ck cut off but he cut his nose off to spite his face if he could have just been more patient to have a vagina transplant Price may have had a promising career, what was wrong with Maloney taking it in the butt for a few more months rather than rushing this whole scenario ?

      Was hilarious.

Price was breathing heavy in the 2nd round. Tired after 4 minutes and then utterly exhausted by the 5th round. He tried a Mayweather like bend at the waist and was too tired to lift back up

he got lightly slapped int the side of the head and collapsed. you can't have a career if that happens. he was just exposed sooner rather than later. thats a good thing. some people manage to go 30-0 and cherry pick their way to a world title belt before the truth hits

Although it was labelled an upset, it wasn't really was it.
Was Hammer the underdog with the bookies? If so, i imagine quite a lot of people made a few quid on that fight.

As matter of habit I always have a little flutter on him to get stopped.

But I am pretty disciplined with my betting and I blew my budget on Southampton getting ****ed at home by West Ham, ffs.

I felt very sorry Price last night and also myself.

He was about 15/4 to get KO'd.

If you watched the fight the first time he was ever dropped by Thompson was an illegal blow behind the ear hence the total loss of equilibrium. Thompson is a wily cat.

The rest of the post I agree with, it's actually enjoyable discussing boxing with you as opposed to listening to the cheesiest one liners since the 1980's movie.

Not bad odds at all them. Always worth a few quid with Price isn't it.

I did my first accumulator in ages this weekend, had Palace to beat Sunderland..that's why i try not to bet these days

I think it's psychological. His trainer in the corner sounded like he genuinely believed Price had the conditioning to keep throwing like he was. Price can't cope with adversity. He seems like a nice guy, he's intelligent and articulate, just not the right character to get punched in the head for a living. Good luck to him in whatever he does with the rest of his life.
