Comments Thread For: Marquez: Canelo Still Has Edge Over Chavez Jr. - Even With Nacho

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez became one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport with Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain in his corner. Marquez's corner because even stronger when he added strength and conditioning coach Angel "Memo" Heredia to his corner.

Memo will have the key ingredient substances for victory. I never liked jr much but I'll be rooting for him against nelo.

Canelo is all around better, like I said we might get 4 good rounds from Chavez before he gasses.

so..... despite insinuating that Chavez Jnr is a drug cheat..... and despite admitting that you don't even like him..... you hope that he beats Canelo?

Chavez can have nacho, roach, and all the mayweathers training him but it all don't mean anything if he doesn't put forth the effort. I believe that because of the magnitude of the fight hat jr will come in great shape and give a good fight. With that said, I still think Canelo wins rather convincingly

So who is the more dangerous opponent? Danny Jacobs @ 160, or Chavez Jr., trained by Nacho and Memo, @ 164.5?

Even if Chavez Jr. had Roach at his corner and drank Memo Heredia milkshakes from now til fight night, he's still ain't gonna beat Canelo. Golden Boy has the judges in their pocket.

The cards are stacked against him. His only path to victory is KO.

Jacobs is. He's spent the past several yrs building himself back up and is arguably the 2nd best mw in the world. Chavez Jr has spent the past several yrs being inactive, not taking boxing seriously and quitting on his stool. When you do that it's tough to all of a sudden just turn it on despite who's in your corner.
