there wont be much of a legacy. Andre ward is a very good fighter but hes not delivered any real classic memorable nights, noone will talk about him when hes gone.

What kind of fighter gets a gift where the majority of the boxing world thinks he lost and just retires instead of settling any doubts in a rematch where he agreed to a rematch clause to begin with, THATS PATHETIC.
I agree, that would be a BS move. But he hasn't yet and as usual people are acting like it's a foregone conclusion. The same posters probably made a fuss when Ward didn't show up for the Kov press conference directly after the Brand fight. No need to get riled up until an official statement is made......

He won't retire, he's going to milk as much money as possible out of the rematch. But once the terms are settled, he'll be back.

True. Chavez Sr. was one of the greatest warriors of all time in the sport. Ward is not even close to bringing the fire and sport to the game of boxing as Chavez Sr.

                    Warriors don't quit.

                    Ward never quit.

Ridiculous. Ward hasn't fought enough or at the same level as Chavez Sr. And as far as him quitting we'll see about that in the near future.
