Verdejo needs to apply himself.

He missed weight in and it took 3 times for him to finally make weight!!! WTF!!!

Im a fan and I want him to perform but before the fight there were lots of talk in PR about Verdejo training for like an hour and departing for the day, party too much, handing out with his buds. If he wants to be champ he needs to train like one!

Also, his corner has reached their limit with with what they can teach Verdejo. He needs a new world class trainer. TR should jump in and force him to do so.

He showed ZERO:

Combination Punching
Lacked Accuracy
ZERO and I mean big fugging zero body work
Counter punching ability
No active defense
ZERO Angles and lacked positioning

The kid has great speed and his foot work can be made world class but man! His corner sucks!

He was rocked on 8th and 10th but he definitely won all other 8 rounds. He was gassed and I'm sure it had to do with draining at the last minute to make weight.

Come on Felix...you can do this, apply yourself and make it happen because if not, you are going to get beaten.

He has never fought anybody good yet. If he fights and beats any boxer ranked 20th or higher by boxrec I will follow him more closely. He has yet to do this.

A new corner would most likely help him but won't happen until he takes a loss. I feel his greatest asset is mobility and when he doesn't use it or throw combinations, he's very average. I hope another trainer can use his best advantages to take him to another level because he's stagnate right now.
