Good choice, but I don't see it making a difference. Canelo's more skillful, disciplined, smarter, and tougher. I got Canelo by 10th round TKO.

He's not going to become proficient in Nacho's technical style. Not in 3 months, it's not possible.

              Agree.

I still like Nacho training him + in the corner & coming up with a strategy for Chavez vs Canelo doe. I think Nacho is probably one of the best choices for Chavez to have made to give himself the best chance to win. Now does Junior take all this seriously is the question.

I think Roach or Garcia would have been better choices for Chavez Jr's offensive, brawling style.

Plus he is already familiar with them and them with him. They wouldn't have to start from scratch.

Technically I think Robert Garcia would've been the best trainer for Chavez' style, problem is he's not strict enough for someone like Chavez, neither is Roach, Nacho's style is a bit too technical for Chavez but I think he's gonna help Chavez whip himself into shape.

On a side note, I think with Canelo's fast hands and natural counterpunching ability he would've been indestructible with Nacho in his corner.

I like & respect both those guys for what they are, but I believe them to be too hands off during training for a guy like Chavez to be able to be his best on fight night. And I don't think Roach is some great strategic mind which is something Chavez will need vs Canelo to even make it interesting.
