The Puerto Rican superstar intends to continue his clear path, of fighting at least two more times for the remainder of the year. Cotto was scheduled to fight James Kirkland at a catch-weight 153-pounds on February 25th. The HBO Pay-Per-View event was booked for The Ford Centre in Frisco, Texas.

This is what I'm talking about. These guys sit on the shelf forever, get out of shape, jump in there for a fight and get hurt in training and the fight gets canceled. An inactive fighter is more prone to injuries. They need to get these guys in the ring more often. Ridiculous.

They could have brought in a replacement, no need to cancel the entire card.
