The Khan bout was a total of 80 clinches. Frustrated Collazo. That same week I remember, I think it was Fight Hype, that Larry Merchant said Prize Fighting with excessive holding should be deducted points. Of course, Khan DID get a point taken away from that bout on clinching alone... Khan wouldn't be able to do such a show on Alvarez even though his effective combos and missed combos were just bouncing off Nelo.
You guys gotta stop acknowledging those who DKSAB, just ignore them. Everyone I know of here who knows boxing knew collazo is no push over.

I was giving Luis Collazo props before you even knew what Boxing Scene was, pal. (Second paragraph, end of third line.)
Interesting read, did your opinion change any after he (Hatton) beat the tar out of Paulie?

For what it's worth, Collazo has always been massively under rated by many fans and pundits. Very solid contender, just never had his signature moment other than maybe his KO of Ortiz or his fight with El Mago.
Well when you read day in day out on Boxingscene how every fighter apart from Mayweather and maybe just maybe a handful others are bums and should retire you gotta understand a man can lose sense of reality every now and then.

OP makes a great point in this thread. It's always a shock to the system once the NSB ******ness goes out of one's brain every now and then and you realise just how hard it is to get to the level these guys are at to be talked about by randomners across the world like us on internet forums.

It's refreshing to see on here a reminder that not every fighter apart from the top 10 p4p guys are bums and should retire. Makes a nice change.

I was a tad disrespectful back then, but had to be to get my point across.

Makes me laugh reading back how people acted like I was ******ed for backing Carl Froch as a top fighter before he won a titile.

He was indeed shafted. Very underrated guy. Seems like a humble guy not sure why he has gotten so much hate in the past. he been must see tv for me since he took out Rivera for the belt.
