Sammy is your typical slow average white kid going nowhere in boxing but when matched well gives a good fight. Sammy is not a top contender nor does Sam possess any great boxing skills and never will be close to a title. Boxing needs these slow white guys with nice army backgrounds to help boxing. Sammy is finished now and will just be an opponent for up and comers. Sam might want to go find a nice job and forget about boxing

You don't put fighters coming off a loss against veterans like Collazo, Salido or even Beltran. They are very seasoned fighters who will take advantage of inexperienced fighters.

Some people around here thought highly of this kid but it seems he is as good as done.

Whats up with the armed forces boxing programs lately? These dudes coming out of the Armed forces amateur boxing programs havent lived up to their hype at all. Jamel Herring and Sammy Vasquez are living proof. Ive noticed there have been others that cant take a punch or pressure either.

Like I said, a one punch KO isn't convincing. Sammy thinks Collazo got lucky. Getting pounded and ground down, like Karl, stays on your mind.

True, One punch may lead the fighter like sammy in this case to just think collazo got lucky, he made a mistake, or hey it happens I got caught but to get run down and beat into submission is a entirely different beast.
