Khan has always been average defensively, its just that too many big punches can eventually get to him, s they do to most offensive fighters. Roach did a terrific job and one loss should not have ended their fruitful partnership. I feel he has wasted close to 4 years with Virgil and done what? Get KOd by a middleweight he was outboxing for the better part of 4 rounds.

He just needs a coach that accentuates his physical gifts, which will now fade quickly as he is in his 30s. Virgil taught him one trick and it just didnt work because it goes against how KHan works. He was always going to be the king of fighter that was going to pick up a few losses along the way in what should have been a HOF career, instead he has wasted time with Virgil, not fighting and instead being involved in haymon's ****ty meetings.

Get back to Roach, cut off ties with haymon if he can and start fighting regularly again. His 140 run was exceptional, maybe he has one last go at it.

I hope not, asides for the Aligeri fight, Khan has looked his best at 147 under Hunter

He looked amazing against Collazo - who as we all saw the other night is no joke

and he looked amazing against Devon

Even in the fight against Canelo, he was showing good skills...but that was a fight which he was always going to lose...

He's taken far less punishment overall under Hunter....

but it could be a mental thing, and now that he's got rid of all the hanger on's and his family, maybe he wants to go back to where it all started, eye of the tiger...wish him luck

I'm glad he's back working with Tony Brady though, his conditioning looked very bad in his fight against Canelo...when he fought Devon and Collazo, he looked in tip top shape...

Anyways it seems Khan is taking boxing serious once again

A way of separating himself from the guy who was KO'd before. Cotto does a similar thing after losses. Good way to con the public into thinking you might still be a relevant fighter
Khon made himself irrelevant years ago, he just doesn't realise it!

Khan should have had Steward as his trainer after the Prescott disaster. Steward specialized in tall, rangy fighters with weak chins.

Khan was a better fit with Roach it complemented his fighting style best. Sure he got some wins with Virgil but that was a product of fighting much weaker competition until he was splattered against Canelo. Roach was unfairly blamed because Khan has a glass chin, virgil didn't fix that he was just spoon fed non punchers and when he faced a puncher again in Canelo we saw the same results. No trainer can fix that chin but at least Roach has the aggressive offensive style to play to Khan's strengths.

He got ktfo by Danny Garcia when he was with roach, he was basically trading with Garcia
Virgil made him better defensively and he stopped trading. So someone tell me how Roach will improve him?

Roach does absolutely nothing to counter the reality that Khan, being awed by his own gifts, starts his combos off in a obvious pattern and lingers for far too long after seeing his own handspeed.

Khan is literally flirting with defeat if he were to step into the ring with one of the current top 10 welterweights in the sport right now.

Gonna be interesting to see who Amir Khan tries to fight, to tick over a fight before the coming Brook cashout.

I see nothing wrong with Khan going back to Roach, who would even add value to Amir's stock.
