I for one am not disappointed the fight got cancelled. I wasn't going to watch it.

Hopefully Cotto picks someone we as fans would be excited by. I'd actually prefer he just fight on regular TV.

Probably still fat and couldn't make the weight. He looked every bit of 200lbs at the press conference a cpl weeks ago. Hasn't fought in almost two years. Doesn't take care of himself outside the ring. I'm happy this happened. Cotto had no business fighting him anyway.

Martinez looked awful in his fight against Murray (but still way better than the pifitul cripple who fought Cotto). He should have lost that fight, he won via hometown gift.

After watching the Murray debacle, my prediction for the Cotto match was the same as many other fans

"If Martinez recovers from that leg injury, he wrecks Cotto.

If hes still as bad as in the Murray fight, Cotto might win"


but in the end, the Sergio who fought Cotto was way WORSE than the Murray version

The Sergio from the Murray fight still looked like Sergio, even if a very washed up version of himself

The Sergio who fought Cotto looked like a drunk bum they picked at the nearest alley

Martinez was finished after Chavez jr and Cotto deserves no credit for beating the disabled.
