Refining the product; PBC rolled it out, along wth a host of other advances, realized that it didn't really come across for boxing as they expected, and got rid of it when it didn't work.

Still, the standardized 20'x20' ring, the focus being placed on the fighter, clearing out the clutter in the ring to only include the fighter/chief second, the standardized black ropes with the advertising only being on the mat/corner pads, etc have all helped clean up the presentation for boxing (while still keeping a lot of the things that are natural for boxing) in a way that opens up the sport to mainstream advertisers and airing on terrestrial TV (with the treatment of the occasional cursing in the corners, in my opinion, being the last thing that needs to be fixed).

Wilder-Washington is already booked for the end of the month, and will now feature a FOX/FS1 split card (Wilder-Washington, Hurd-Harrison, Breazeale-Ugonoh as the FOX tripleheader, with Plant-TBA and Fox-McNeil as the likely doubleheader for the FS1 portion).

Showtime/CBS (where Showtime gets the pick of the matchups that they're interested in, with really big fights heading to CBS and SHOPPV only being brought in for blockbusters [or really big fights that can't find placement on CBS]), SpikeTV, and BounceTV are already on board; this coming summer series for ESPN will net the result of that possible deal (ie whether the commitment is made for a summer "boxing season" on ESPN, or will the steps be taken to consider a return to the small-scale FNF setup) and then there'd only be left seeing what FOX is going to do.

If the UFC does end up going to TimeWarner (TNT/HBO/etc), FOX is going to be sitting there with at least $100m per year in their pocket, with a serious need to find sports content that would give folks a reason to even look at FS1.

24 Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays (PBC on FS1), and 4-6 fight cards on FOX, annually, and you've ended up with a deal that helps everyone.

I feel like if pbc just stayed on NBC or cbs instead flip flopping to spike or espn or some other **** every event, then it would be a big success. It's just not promoted and marketed the right way but the idea is good for boxing if done right.
