Is Ward using his head and holding? All day.
      And for sure that's illegal.
****** this... Fanboy that... You guys really believe that insults are actual points? You and the rest of the crank yankers are the delusional ones. Ducking below the waist? Has anyone ever been penalized for that? That's just some Larry Merchant type complaint that fans who don't know how to think for themselves will run with when you're trying to falsely depict fighters like Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward as being dirty. Did Ward headbutt Kovalev? No. Did Ward hold anymore than Kovalev did? Absolutely not. You have no point and Froch is trying to say that Ward's P4P ranking should be downgraded because he is supposedly a dirty fighter that cheated his way to the top. Ward beat Froch fair and square with one hand! Carl Froch is just a de****ably sore loser.

In a strange way they are both bitter, both think of each other and refer to each other. They are forever bound to each other in a distinct way, historically their bond will remain, they fill the gaps in each other's careers.
If there was nothing to debate on either side it would be beyond discussion for both of them. ...But they each have something the other could only dream of...20 years from now those two names will still be associated.
Carl Froch is a sore loser who is looking for ways to down grade Andre Ward so he can feel better about losing. Andre Ward doesn't talk bad about Carl Froch.

Froch is being right as usual.

Look, I'm a GGG guy but he's also right when he says GGG hasn't faced a top fighter yet except a welterweight in Brook.

I didn't really like Froch as a fighter but I do think he's a smart and honnest guy.

He's also being right when he says Ward is dirty.

          How can somebody deny that?

You know I'm from Europe and have been watching a lot of pro fights ring side.

Euro refs apply the rules (forget German events and paid off referees).

That is why European fighters are very conventional fighters, because holding, ducking below the waist is being punished with points deduction, so unless you win by KO you ain't winning fighting ala Ward in Europe.

I would say that in his official victory over Kovalev, Ward had applied a quite helpfull type of refereeing and judging.

          From boxing rules:
"Under most, if not all, modern rules of boxing, it is illegal to duck lower than the opponent's belt line."

              S.O.G. vs Kal-El, Who's the Undisputed Champion?

How come Kovalev nor Ward, wants to become Undisputed Champions while Stevenson still hold the lineal WBC belt. Kovalev came with a thousand excuses to blind fans & stepped back from a face to face Live on HBO. On the other hand, Ward says Stevenson must ask Al to come out and play, later on he says Stevenson had opportunities "Why now?", but lately he says fighting Cleverly or Badou Jack would be great. Again, in different preaching words Ward says, fighting for the Undisputed title is a step back-Ward.
I wonder how come boxing fans didn't react to that lie!
Ward was using his preachers skills in his last UK interview; Ward does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar; a fake preacher.
Ward doesn't want to loose, Stevenson is a real threat for him or Kovalev, but team Kovalev did their trash talk-ish so well, that sheeps/mass followed the russian tongue.
Power don't come from a badge or a gun. Power comes from lying. Lying big and gettin' the whole damn world to play along with you. Once you've got everybody agreeing with what they know in their hearts ain't true, you've got 'em by the balls.

Lomachenko would be a nightmare for ward if they were the same size. no way he wins that fight. he'd have to hold on for dear life to get going, and he'd get smacked around for trying.

i do think froch [and most of his fans] are still bitter about the one sided loss to ward. i also think ward resents the money and the accolades froch got while ward was in exile, and also feels the heat because of how close the kovalev fight really was.

both guys can be wrong / sound silly and also be on to something. boxing is weird like that.

i'm starting to think lomachenko is the best p4p fighter in the world. p4p lists are a heck of a lot less about a body of work over one's career than they are about how good a fighter is righ tnow. lomachenko is scary good right now. he can box as well as anybody on the planet, he can punch with knockout power, and he's about as confident and prime as a young man can be.

If Andre Ward is dirty so is everyone else. European referees always apply the rules? Do you really believe that? Ricky Hatton made a career of holding and hitting and rabbit punching while mostly fighting in Europe. He was never penalized for it. Carl Froch himself pulled off every dirty tactic he could think of in his Nottingham fight against Andre Dirrell. What fighter has ever even been warned for ducking below the waist? It has simply never happened. Its a rule that referees don't seem to have any interest in enforcing because its probably the most ******, useless and unenforceable rule in the book. But since it is in the books feel free to use it as a technicality to discredit certain fighters.

I don't know about Ward being some big time liar and all of that. But his stance on Stevenson is bullcrap. Truth be told, everyone in boxing has adapted the same dishonest stance on Stevenson that was orchestrated by HBO more so than Kovalev and Duva. They might have been the ones doing most of the talking but trust and believe the orchestrated slander of Adonis Stevenson was a ploy of HBO's to undermine Al Haymon. And since Ward is promoted by Roc Nation, who seem to be adversaries of Haymon, and both fights on HBO and works for HBO as a commentator he seems to be towing the company line. And I'm sure HBO puts pressure on its employees and associates to do so. But, I'm glad you brought it up because I'm a huge Andre Ward fan and I defend him all of the time. But his stance on Stevenson is about the only time I can think of where I felt his honesty and authenticity were questionable. I don't think he is afraid to fight Stevenson at all. I just think he is going along with the agenda of the suits that back him.
