Brook's level of competition isn't just down to him. If you think so, then you just don't know that much about boxing.
Brook signing to fight GGG was no different to Khan signing to fight Canelo, everyone knew the outcome would be a KO win hell even Brook and a khan knew they'd not here the final bell.

Brook took that fight for the money not to boost his résumé, he was nearly out on his feet in the first round, his trainer would have done him a favour stopping if then as the injury will certainly play a part again in his career especially versus hitters as heavy as Spence.

Brook had the chance to face Vargas yet elected to have his faced smashed for a more lucrative payday.

Ten years before he even fought for a title. Best win is a close SD over Porter. Then he went on a run of weak mando' s. Including Bundu's leftovers. Nobody Kell has beat has gone on to do anything, not even Porter. If he retired today after 13 years fighting, only one loss, he wouldn't even make the HOF. That's sad after 13 years of fighting. Hearn probably offered Spence a small amount in order to pay what Brook is demanding. I don't think Hearn wants it to go to a purse bid because he would need to shell out more money in order for Brook to receice what he wants. If Brook is asking for 2 mil to fight Spence, Hearn would have to bid around 2.6 million in order to satisfy Brook. Keep in mind that Spence made around 250k for his last fights. Spence will be getting more money regardless

Not sure I believe Hearn, he said that before and ended up backtracking on the statement.

I just want to see the fight so I'm glad that it looks like Brook won't vacate the title. For me this is even more intriguing than Thurman vs Garcia. And needless to say it's way better then a Khan fight.

You guys just never learn. Yawl said the same thing about Wilder ducking Povetkin, same thing about Jacobs ducking GGG, same thing about Thurman ducking Porter, same thing about Garcia ducking Thurman, same thing about Charlo ducking J-rock, and same thing about Ward ducking Kovalev.

Yawl were proven wrong EVERY FUUCKING single time and yawl still have the sheer ******ity and ignorance to go this route each and every time. Honestly it just totally baffles me.

Smart move by Spence's team. If it goes to purse bid and Hearns wins the bid, then it goes on British PPV and therefore Spence gets his guaranteed amount AND a percent of the ppv.
Spence also gets a chance to build a new fanbase in Brittain if he dominates and stops Brook.

If they were to negotiate and the fight ends up in America, then it's on free tv and therefore no ppv, the fight also probably doesn't get that much exposure as America seems to be losing it's boxing fanbase for some reason.

Until I see Brook in the ring with Spence I wouldn't believe anything, I lost count the number of fights Brook agreed to and then got "Injured" from Alexander to Vargas, Bradley, Chaves off the top of my head.

Another thing is Brook would want his 75% and home advantage. This is going to be difficult for Hearn to sort out.

Glad to see that there is a chance we just might see this fight.

Brook would have earned my respect for having the balls to face his first stiff defense.
A far cry from Kevin Bizier, Jo Jo Dan etc. etc.

I don't really put any stock in what Eddie says in PUBLIC.

                      This fight should happen.

Its good for both fighters and it is good for boxing.
