Comments Thread For: Brook's Promoter: We Made Offers To Errol Spence - No Response!

Eddie has been caught lying once about Spence not accepting the Brook fight. Nobody believes Eddah anymore. His offer was probably a first class ticket to England, a hotel room, a visit with the Queen, and Fish n chips. As many fights Haymon & Eddie have made together now suddenly they aren't responding. Nobody with as ounce of common sense believes EddieHahaha, here we go, brooks promotor pulling a page from the Oscar delaHoya school of ducking fights for your fighter. You know you don't want your fighter to fight a certain opponent, make an unacceptable offer but then share with the world that the opponent didn't respond or declined. Continue to take fights with lesser opponents while gullible fans buy in to the lies. Brilliant!Comment

Every Haymon fighter follows his advice. Why wouldn't they? The only one who does his own thing from time to time is Khan and most of that is just talking nonsense. That's not the issue. Win or lose (in the purse bid), Hearn/Brook will be the main beneficiaries. Spence would most likely negotiate just like what Jacobs did in the GGG fight. That is IF he were in control. But it appears he's following Haymon's orders.
Where is the fire Spence used to exhibit? His hesitation is now on record and he better come out and end his silence ASAP.
Unless people think this fight would be a big PPV/ticket fight in the UK (I don't know what type of business Brook does there but I am assuming his base isn't that big), Haymon side should want to win the bid.
The economics of fights in the UK is very different than the US. Tickets and PPV is much cheaper. Check out the revenue from the Froch/Groves fight:

Not true. Quillin was advised to vacate his WBO title when it was time to fight his mandatory, Korobov.Comment

These comments are laughable! so now Spence is going to walk away from his title opportunity? we dont even know the figures Hearns has offered! maybe the purse-bid may generate equal if not more to what Hearns is offering. In conclusion its all speculation and a moral boost for the five Kell Brook stans on this board. At least a few people have sense...Hahaha, here we go, brooks promotor pulling a page from the Oscar delaHoya school of ducking fights for your fighter. You pick out one fighter from hundreds lol Like I said, his fighters have a "history" (meaning a track record), and wasn't Quillin dealing some type of death in his family during that period?
(I don't remember but I think he took some time off then came back and got blasted by Jacobs, not sure though)Comment
