There's a HUUUGE size disparity between Welterweights and Super welterweight.

    Shawn Porter - 5'6 1/2 156 lbs
    Keith Thurman - 5'7 1/2 156 lbs
    Errol Spence - 5'9 1/2 159 lbs
    Kell Brook - 5'9 158 lbs
    Danny Garcia - 153 lbs

Then we have Jr. Middle Weights.

    Andrade - 6'1 169
    Jermall - 6'1 162
    Jermell - 6'0 - 160
    Lara - 5'10 - 166
    Liam Williams - 5'11 162

The only fighters capable of atleast competing at JMW is Errol spence and Kell Brook, and even then their out sized by a huge margin.

welterweight is usually the stopping point for guys from 130-140 moving up.

a lot of the 154 guys are natural at that size or were just welters for a very short time.

in the past you had a lot of welter and smaller guys at 154, like shane, oscar and tito but they were exceptional and able to beat the bigger guys like vargas. only when they met a bigger but also highly skilled guy like winky or hopkins did their luck run out.

weird i thought as thurman being bigger but then looking at the raw numbers he isnt that big.

All it takes is putting on some extra muscle.. but didn't realize some of those welters were that short, Crawford should def move up and clean house.

Hello no. Just ask Bob Arum and affiliates how to create a sanctioned illusion of a Flyweight star moving up on Roids and Toradol against ohhh let's say a Margarito or walking dead DLH.

Where you get the weights from? The only weight for Brook at WW i could find was 156 for the Porter fight and Porter was 158 for the same fight.

I remember when Keith Thurman was coming up, before he fought for a title and was taking fights at 150, 149, 151 etc, there were people here claiming he was too big to make welter lol

Could be that he weighed 162 fight night against Guerrero, 160 against Quintana etc that made them think that.

nah, it was long before that. Even after he made like 144 when he fought on my show people were still saying he should be at 154 lol

Yeah, and every one of those 154 ******* could fight at 160, and they don't because they would get bullied
